Conversation with a four year old

Little Miss:  Mummy what are those? (pointing at pile of half done clutches)

Me:  They are purses like the one with apples that mummy keeps the food money in.

Little Miss: Why aren't they finished?

Me:  I haven't ordered the little metal bits..........
Little Miss:  Oh (wanders off)

10 minutes later

Little Miss:  Mummy, are these the little metal bits? (handing me 2 Magnetic fasteners)

Me:  Yes, where were they?

Little Miss:  In my bedroom.

Me:  Ummmmm, why?

Little Miss:  In case I wanted to sew something.

She'll be apples!

apple curvy clutch
This was amazingly simple to make even with the little miss helping. I used a pattern by Keyka Lou, and it was completed in a few hours. I will be making a few more of these when I get around to buying some more magnetic snaps.

Hello

It's nearly a new year.
I have a new sewing room.

A new figure to fit in my new skirt.

And now a new blog.

Here are some highlights of the last two months. My favourite things I have completed.

recovered vintage chairs

upcycled curtains to a bag

upcycled doily to a pouch
